I went to the park today as a planned meetup which failed, but there was a few of us. We went straight to Splash Battle as the rides weren't open yet to see how construction was going, but something was different, staff in the station, subs on track and station not fenced off.
So we thought it might open today.
If you hit the triangles, the water jets turn off.
The subs were themed well, but your hands hurt after going on a few times.
As you can see, there is a handle to turn on the sub to make the water come out of the cannon.
Full sub.
This is the Volcano, it errupts with a massive water explosion about every 20 minutes.
The tap was part of the theming.
Only half of the stations roof was waterproof.
This was a bit pointless, and so was the tap on the hill.
Well the ride opened and i went on it about 6 times.
There was two more subs on the transfer section.
Two peoples bad aiming is about to get them wet.
It looks great in the sun.
There is 6 triangles you have to hit to stay as dry as possible.
There is one of the triangles.
People loading into the sub.
Another shot from inside the station.
This shot shows if you are in that sub at the moment, you would get soaked if the volano errupted.
The tunnel is to have a mist feauture added.
On the platform, cannons will be added so the public can spray riders ( they are now added).
He tried to get me, but missed. Really bad aim...
Then the rain came! Really, really heavy downpour for about 30 minutes.
The park went black.
All rides closed as lightning approached.
I could barley see the Lost River Ride they rain was that heavy.
I stood at the wrong side of the station, i got wet as the roof wasn't waterproof.
Still bad.
After the rain went it was time to go, and everywhere was flooded.
Drain overflowing.
Came from here.
It was alot of water in 30 minutes.
All the entrance was flooded also.
It was quite bad.
A bit of the car park was flooded aswell.
And the coach park is now a lake ! Thanks for reading, check back on Friday 27th July for Knightmares Media Day report!
