Another Flamingoland trip report today. I thought i'd go as Knightmare's media day was called off and i wanted to see how Splash Battle was getting on.
From Kumali, i can see a crane near Splash Battle's station area.
It was kind of busy today, mainly because of uni students.
Cliffhanger in the distance, still not working shot n drop!
Kumali still dominates the sky line.
The site where Magnum Force used to be.
Two Giraffes kept headbutting each other?
Here it comes...
Guess what they are!
Another pictures of Giraffes.
Kumali's drop.
Kumali and Lost River Ride queue entrance.
Train in the station.
Up it goes...
Nearing the drop...
Going...
Down!
Into the cobra roll.
Then into the Zero-g role.
Then into the helix.
And finally it will end up here, in the brake run.
Alot of people paying extra for a laser quest type game.
Spot the lions.
Kumali from near the train station.
A boat of riders, about to see how reliable the ride is.
Suprise, suprise! The catch car missed the boat again.
Stacking of the boats.
After the op pushed the boat onto the catch car, the boat makes it way to the drop.
You get wet!
And the water is very green.
Cliffhanger in the far corner of the park.
A new enclosure with rare monkeys.
The closed path to the back of Splash Battle.
Splash Battle was coming along, theming was being put into place all day.
As you can see, there is a volcano being added for theming.
There is a better picture, they kept working on it all day.
They did alot of work during the day, i don't know when it will open though.
I think these parts are for a tunnel.
A feature where the riders will get wet.
Lots of water jets on the theming, so i guess they all spray riders.
The station needs alot of work, the station floor hasn't even been assembled yet!
Alot of work to do before it opens, sometime in July it says.
Looking at the station i would say another week at least!
Part of the tunnel was being put up later in the day.
I think its an onride photo kiosk.
Still doing work on the volcano, there is water tanks inside.
Splosh looks nice though, shame the weather isn't.
There is many features in Splosh which can make you wet! Like sprays in the floor, to a mist tunnel.
The area looks so much better than what it used to look like which all the carnival rides.
The subs are in there if you look closely.
A second train, which will be used in the busy days.
The giant turtles had a large area.
These things live for years!
Only picture i took of Velocity, its getting rougher by the month.
The launch track.
Vodoo through the trees.
Finally i leave you with this photo, alot of empty space here. Check back soon for more updates. Thanks for reading.
